Work Incentives Planning and Assistance-WIPA
Do you receive
Supplemental
Security Income (SSI) or Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) and want to
enter the workforce?
Social Security Work Incentives make it possible for people to
maintain cash and medical benefits while they test their ability to work.
The Endependence Center Work Incentive Planning and Assistance
Project, (WIPA) are dedicated to assisting individuals with disabilities in
making informed choices for employment. Our Community Work Incentive
Coordinators (CWIC’s) provide FREE work incentive services and
benefits planning and assistance to individuals who receive Social Security
disability benefits and are between the ages of 14-64. Outreach is also
provided to local, state, federal agencies and all others who are committed to
providing services to individuals with disabilities.
- You
may want to contact a CWIC if you receive SSI or SSDI
Benefits and you are:
-
Concerned about how work would impact your medical benefits
-
Considering part-time, full-time or temporary
employment
-
Expecting a change in your current employment
status
-

to work
