Medicaid Waiver Coordinator

    ECI is recruiting for a new Medicaid Waiver Coordinator. This individual will provide DD Waiver
    case management and consumer-directed services facilitation.  We have placed employment
    announcements with Craig’s List and the Virginia Employment Commission.

ECI Volunteer Opportunities

  The Endependence Center is looking for a volunteers for the following:
 
  *Receptionist - occasionally answer phones while staff are in a meeting or training,
   forward the message to voice mail and maintain the lobby.

   Bulk Mail - occasionally need an individual to assist with folding and labeling

   newsletters for a monthly bulk mailing.

 

   Landscaping - cut the grass and do some minor landscaping during the spring and

   summer months on an as needed basis.

 

  *Handyman to consumers - serve as a handyman and assist people with disabilities

    that we serve with yard work, indoor repairs, fence repairs and other repairs that

    are needed at their home.

 

    Handyman at ECI - provide assistance with small repairs at the Center on an as

    needed basis.

 

  *Personal Care Assistant - provide assistance to people with disabilities we serve

   with eating, pushing wheelchair, coat on/off and other minor duties while they

   participate in a group outing.

 

   NOTE - positions listed with an asterisk (*) require a criminal background check

   and a child protective services background check.
